We are grateful to all our partners who have contributed to the development of our online portal and are pleased to be able to confirm that this is now well established across the partnerships.
As you will be aware from our ongoing work at the MASH Strategic Board and in response to the recent Ofsted recommendation, we are now in a position to confirm the date from which referrals via “paper” or direct e-mail will no longer be accepted into MASH.
From Monday 9th December 2019, all referrals to MASH must be completed on our online portal, which can be found at www.newham.gov.uk/MASH following the ‘request support or protection of a child’ link. The portal referral form prompts referrers to provide key information needed for us to thoroughly and speedily process requests for support or protection. These includes the contact details for the children & parent, the reasons for the referral and confirmation that the parent is aware & has consented to this referral to MASH.
As part of our ongoing work to improve our portal, we have recently devised a survey, which will be sent out to all partner agencies. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LBNMASHPortal
Please can you take time to complete the survey so that we can learn and continue to improve our referral portal. In the meantime, If you have any issues with the portal, please contact our AzeusCare Helpdesk on 0203 373 3383.
Please note that the MASH will continue to take phone referrals for all cases where the child/children are at immediate risk of harm. The MASH number is 0203 373 4600 and the Emergency Duty team number 020 8430 2000. I appreciate that most of our partners are already completing their referrals on the portal and therefore this email is for their information only.
